Past, Present & Future

As I tossed and turned my way to sleep last evening, a thought passed through my mind that just would not leave me to my slumber. This is a framework that I want to consider more thoroughly in time, but need to put it down now so it is not lost or forgotten.

People who spend their time looking to the past see answers to questions.

People who spend their time looking at the now see questions that are not as clear because their answers are not yet know.

People who spend their time looking at the near future ponder what questions are yet to be asked.

People who spend their time looking at the distant future see an interlocking, ever changing set of possibilities that are connected to the near future, present and past. They see relationships and patterns, not questions and answers.
